Last month, Red Dot’s founder and CEO, KC Goundiam, was asked to write an article for iRevolution about the difference between change management, or digitization, and digital transformation. Knowing that the difference can be confusingfor many people, she took the opportunity to set out the ideas in the hopes of helping businesspeople clarify their goals and processes.
Whereas change management is about identifying specific processes to be digitized and implementing them, digital transformation is about using new technologies to solve existing problems, even long-standing ones. Between the two there is a radical shift of emphasis. In KC’s article, she redefines these terms and provides examples to help ensure that businesspeople know where you’re going and what to do.
